Who are we?
Welcome to the home of the Oregon NEMT Providers Alliance (“ORPA”). This association is being formed by key NEMT transportation companies and related industry partners to further advocacy for our interests and ensure the ability to provide quality medical transportation services.
In the ever-changing environment of the NEMT industry, providers who play the critical role of actually rendering transportation are often the most ignored parties when it comes to the decisions being made by the State and other entities when it comes on the facilitation of NEMT programs in Oregon. It’s important that providers have a clear and unified voice to ensure that abuses and constant struggles at the mercy of contracted brokers are reduced and their power kept in check.
The Oregon NEMT Providers Alliance should not be confused with the Oregon NEMT Providers Association. Why have another organization? While we still appreciate the efforts of this other organization, many feel their effectiveness and focus to be limited. The majority of those involved with this other organization are only in the Portland Metro area and their focus is currently on issues only pertaining to Gridworks, the contracted transportation broker for Health Share.
We feel a larger focus at higher levels with more informed information and articulate discussions is what we need to ensure progress in advocating for our businesses and the clients NEMT providers serve.
